RSS Subscriptions
Now you can stay on top of the latest news and information from the 2006 Chrysler Auto Shows by having it delivered directly to your personalized homepage (e.g., My Yahoo!) or news reader, via RSS.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. Whichever you use, it means the same thing: a web standard for publishing regular updates of content. Via RSS, web publishers are able to provide readers with blow-by-blow updates to news, information, even photos from their websites. These updates are called "feeds."

RSS is commonly used with news sites and blogs, but any website can use it to distribute its information — usually a headline and small amount of text or summary of a larger story, with a link to the full article on the publisher's website. RSS feeds, when collected through what is called a "news reader" or "feed aggregator" (see below), allow you to catch up on your favorite websites and topics all in one place whenever it is convenient for you. Many of your favorite news, entertainment, and even retail websites offer RSS feeds of their content.

Our 2006 Chrysler Auto Show feeds include the latest news and information from the Auto Shows, not only from Chrysler.com's inside sources but from respected news websites and automotive blogs. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all of your Chrysler news needs.

Back to "news readers" and "feed aggregators"… You need these to gather and browse through your RSS feeds of choice. These tools come in the form of either desktop software or web-based services. Of the web-based variety, NewsGator, Bloglines, and My Yahoo! are among the most popular. Your usage habits will determine which one is right for you.

Once you have the tool in place, you simply add feeds by looking for the orange RSS "chicklet" button. This indicates a link to the RSS feed version of the content you see on the page. You will either copy and paste the URL into your news reader, or click a button on your browser window. The latest version of the web browser Firefox automatically displays an "Subscribe Via RSS" icon wherever it detects an RSS feed beneath the surface.

To begin exploring the RSS feeds that Chrysler.com has to offer, click any of the feed links to the right.
